Hi list. Just out of curiosity, is it possible, or will it be possible in
the future, to plug some kind of small QWERTY keyboard into the 22C to make
writing SMS text messages a bit easier than tapping out each character on
the number pad as we do now? The current method as we know can be slow
going until we can get really good at it, but I'm wondering if some kind of
small QWERTY keyboard is available, or under development, that could attach
to the serial port of the phone to enable one to type in a message once in
the Write Message field under Send Message? That would be neat if that were
possible; we have a daughter who is deaf and uses a Sidekick II to send
e-mails or SMS messages; what about a small keyboard with its own speaker,
and powered by batteries and portable enough to be carried around, much like
the Franklin Language Master talking dictionaries that I'm sure many of us
have seen or owned? Would you please consider this for future developments,
if it hasn't already been? Thanks, I'll be looking forward to hearing if
this kind of scheme could be done.
Sincerely,
Peter
